March 5 marks the best day of the year – National Vending Day! National Vending Day is recognized by the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) and is a day used to recognize the people who manufacture, sell, operate, enjoy and love vending and vending products. At USI, we don’t limit celebrating vending to one day a year. Keep reading to find out how we celebrate vending year-round.
Innovation
At U-Select-It, we work hard to ensure that we are staying on top of all of the latest in vending technology. Since the last National Vending Day, we have introduced PUSH-IT to our list of growing optional features on our vending merchandisers. PUSH-IT is a tray delivery system that allows operators to increase profitability by vending larger, high-margin products, while also creating operating efficiencies. It does not include coils, so it allows for greater capacity per selection.
PUSH-IT is not the only new innovation U-Select-It has introduced in the past year. This past January, we announced the expansion of the Evoke Series by introducing our new line of Evoke Combo merchandisers. This new line features five new machines: Evoke Combo 5 Elevator, Evoke Combo ST/VT 5 and Evoke Combo ST/VT 3. Evoke Combo merchandisers feature the style and design you love from the Evoke Snack series, with delivery and selection capabilities you have been craving.
Events
Throughout the year, members of our USI sales team travel to various events, including The NAMA Show, Sagebrush, CAVC Legislative Day and more. These tradeshows and events not only allow us to show off our products and innovations, but they also allow us to connect with you to see what your needs are. It also allows us to stay on top of all of the latest trends in vending technology in order to meet our customers’ needs.
Promoting Healthy Living
U-Select-It is proud to support initiatives in order to promote healthy living across the world. This is done through healthy snack rebates and supporting public health initiatives. This February, we announced our partnership with Ekoa, a natural dried fruit bar product supplier, to offer our customers a limited-time product rebate. We also proudly announced our support of NAMA’s Public Health Commitment, which requires at least one-third of all snacks in a vending machine to be classified as “better for you” products.
